Most church treasurers don't want to hand the books away — they want to stop lying awake wondering if they made a mistake. The Month-End Check keeps the books in your hands: each month you close, we verify the reconciliation, tie every fund balance to the bank, and check your treasurer report before it goes to the board. The heaviest part of a volunteer treasurer's job isn't the work — it's carrying the fear alone. This ends that.

What it is not: a Month-End Check is not an audit, a review, or a compilation — those are CPA engagements and we don’t perform them. We verify that your reconciliation is complete, that every fund ties to the bank, and that your treasurer report says what the numbers actually say, then we tell you what we found.
The Month-End Check starts at $150/month for a typical small church or nonprofit — one bank account, a handful of funds, our Fund Accounting Kit workbook or a clean software file. More funds, more accounts, or payroll complexity moves it up, most often landing between $150 and $250. You'll know your exact number after the fit call, and it never changes mid-year without a conversation.
If the books need work before a monthly check makes sense, start with Cleanup + Training — books cleaned, treasurer trained, SOP manual in hand — and the monthly check keeps them that way.
You do the work. We carry the worry.
No — I'm in the Bitterroot Valley and happy to meet local treasurers in person, but the check runs remotely for churches and small nonprofits anywhere in the US.
Our Fund Accounting Kit workbook, QuickBooks Online, or most church accounting software — if we can see the books and the bank statement, we can check them. The fit call is where we confirm your setup works.
A free 20-minute fit call, then a first-month check that doubles as a setup check: we make sure the funds are labeled correctly and starting balances are honest, so every check after that stands on solid ground. If that first look turns up bigger problems, we'll tell you plainly and price the cleanup before going further.
Month to month. If it's not working, you keep your books and walk — they're your books. That's rather the point.
We keep a small number of done-for-you engagements — full monthly bookkeeping and fractional-controller work — subject to availability. The fit call is the place to ask.
A 20-minute fit call gets you a flat monthly number and a start date.
